Windows Live Writer

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I’m writing this post from a nifty little tool called Windows Live Writer. Normally I can’t stand Microsoft products, but they hit the nail on the head with this one. From install to writing this post on my WordPress blog it took a total of 1 minute 30 seconds. Nice! I love easy to use software! It has some easy to use tools for inserting video, maps, pictures, tags, tables, and hyperlinks. Need a quick map of Houston…let’s see….done.

Any who, if you don’t mind squeezing that last little ounce of strength towards a Microsoft product you should try Windows Live Writer.

Also, there is a Firefox add-on for windows live writer.

I knew it was in my blood.

First off, all glory to google alerts. No offense hypotoad but alerts rock the house. Second, while looking at my alerts I found a Paolo Zangirolami on MySpace TV that played a pretty nasty guitar solo *bows down* ;) I have always been a pretty good guitar player myself but could never reach this zangirolami’s status. Check him out for yourself:

Kiva.org Logo
I recently ran into kiva.org and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Kiva allows you to loan money to anyone that is a loan applicant in any developing country. You can view kiva applicants profiles, kiva field partner profiles (the people who actually give them the money in their country), and easily compile data and statistics on either one. The reports and status updates don’t leave your mind hanging with questions about where your money is being allocated. If you want to make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate, then donate $25 dollars to a entrepreneur and get their business going!

Blackberry Pearl 8100

I finally entered into the realm with all the other crackberry evangelists. I have to say, the Blackberry Pearl – Sapphire is a pretty cool phone. While not as robust as the Blackberry curve it still manages to rival it. Setting up my email was a breeze with their nifty setup wizards and the learning curve for the entire interface wasn’t too bad either. Investing in a 1 gig micro SD card will be my next step!

Air Houston 2007

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

Air Houston 2007 is an event where companies donate their time to help a non-profit organization build a fully accessible site from the ground up. Once a group (company) is registered, they are assigned a non-profit and are required to compete in Air Houston event which is hosted by knowbility. I was the lead on Team schipul!

Team Schipul @ Air Houston 2007

We were assigned Ms. Wheelchair Texas. They were a wonderful non-profit to have and we had tons of fun building their website. Here is a sneak peak at the new Ms. Wheel Chair Texas designed by team schipul. Javier Avellan, Kim Lange, and Jason Mclweenie were my team members and they did a wonderful job. Thanks Angela Wrigglesworth for your time and gifts! ;)

Oh snap! I’m thinking that maybe I want a new 2008 Honda Accord Coupe ;) to help tame my gas expenditure. This year they are not just a honda accord sedan with the third and fourth door welded shut but a sleek, shiny, bundle of greatness that resembles the Infinity G35. Check it out for yourself at Honda. My perfect edition below:

Google has taken maps to a new level. You can now display the street level and see photos of the buildings and areas you want to visit. They haven’t taken pictures of the whole world yet, but they’re getting to it. In the future it would be fun to locate the truck in Houston and get in a picture. Here is an example of two women unknowingly caught sunbathing.
