6 Random Things

Friday, November 21st, 2008

I got tagged by Jerrigirl to write about 6 random things. I believe this all started with Imelda. Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on the blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Rules are in place, here are my 6 random things:

  1. I have always been a day dreamer. Taking even the smallest thing someone says it will turn into an all out movie in my head spreading into random subjects.
  2. Up until the last 5 years I was always a closed person when speaking to people who are close to me (ie. gf) but the symptoms seem to have vanished and I love the concept of openness and sharing. Maybe that is why I love open source so much!!
  3. I am in a little debt. Truck to car. Gas. Credit. Sigh.
  4. I never learned the correct way to type on a keyboard I just made up my own way. Still pretty fast and accurate though on my desktop ;)
  5. Some people say that love is just another dynamic variable in life. I disagree. Its needs to be a constant. To be passionately in love with someone like in “The Notebook” would be sweet.
  6. Music is my life bookmark. I can pick out songs that represent times in my life where I have felt sadness, happiness, love, and anger. I can’t live without it.

I am tagging:

David Stagg, Maggie McDonald, Holly Star PR, Kerry Gayle, Ed Schipul,

Katie Laird

P.S. Sorry if you have already been tagged :)

Why won’t it learn faster

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

I never knew that bringing a dog outside for the first time and waiting patiently for it to use the restroom could be so tedious. Dante, my little bundle of joy, is the cutest pet I have ever owned. He wins the royal flush of cute! I guess I’ll live with it.

A change in web service

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

There was a little bit of down time for the last two weeks. Apparently some files got lost on my host, and I switched hosting providers. Anywho, i’m back in action! One of my new years resolutions is to keep up with my blog a little more as well as my professional blog “never ending web” so stay tuned for a healthy amount of posts. Oh…some images may be missing because I no longer have them from the previous host ;)

Blackberry Pearl 8100

I finally entered into the realm with all the other crackberry evangelists. I have to say, the Blackberry Pearl – Sapphire is a pretty cool phone. While not as robust as the Blackberry curve it still manages to rival it. Setting up my email was a breeze with their nifty setup wizards and the learning curve for the entire interface wasn’t too bad either. Investing in a 1 gig micro SD card will be my next step!

Coopers Bavarian Lager

So, my birthday gift has finally arrived! Thanks Mezio! Now I can create 5 gallons (60 bottles) of Coopers Bavarian Lager with a sweet and spice hop flavor. In about roughly 2 months I should have some nice home brewed cerveza! Cheers!

2008 Honda Accord Coupe..Yummy!

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Oh snap! I’m thinking that maybe I want a new 2008 Honda Accord Coupe ;) to help tame my gas expenditure. This year they are not just a honda accord sedan with the third and fourth door welded shut but a sleek, shiny, bundle of greatness that resembles the Infinity G35. Check it out for yourself at Honda. My perfect edition below:

With only 4 hours of sleep and a hangover we got to Austin City Limits around noon just in time to see young love. We then made our way to the tent to get out of the sun and saw The Legendary Soul Stirrers. They day was extremely hot. We must have drank 7 bottles of water a piece and still left the show dehydrated. The MUSE put on one of the best shows I have seen in a very long time. The set list included (although a song may be missed):

Knights of Cydonia
Map Of the Problematique
Hysteria
Supermassive Balck Hole
Butterflies & Hurricanes
Feeling Good( piano instrumental outro)
Sunburn
Sodliers Poem
Invincible
Starlight
New Born
Time is Running Out
Plug in Baby ( Balloons released)

Encore:
John F Kennedy speech
Take a Bow
Micro Cuts
Stockholm Syndrome (Outro)

They were absolutely amazing!!!!! Pictures coming soon..

Comcast not looking too bright..

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Seems to me that comcast is a crappy company. First, I have been playing video games online for years and I have yet to see a good response whenever someone mentions the word “Comcast” in chat. Second, this snippet from the newsletter tells me that I am downgrading:

Your lucky number is 7: Now everyone in the house can have a personal address.
With Comcast High-Speed Internet, you get up to 7 email accounts. As we notified you a few weeks ago, if you had more than 7 email accounts with Road Runner high-speed Internet, you had to select the 7 you wished to keep. If you didn?t, the first 7 accounts that you created were automatically reserved for you to transfer to Comcast.net, and the others were deleted.”

My lucky number is 7?? So you’re telling me that I am lucky that my amount of available email addresses are lower than what I had with Time Warner! Bah! Oh, and don’t forget the cool new features:

So what does this transition mean for you? Cool features.
Comcast means speed, primo tools and airtight security. Now you can download at crazy-fast speeds. Listen to almost every song under the sun with Rhapsody? Radio Plus. With Comcast Photo Center, you can create slide shows and share digital pictures with friends and family. Feel safe and secure with state-of-the-art security by McAfee. And much more.”

Last time I checked McAfee was about as useful as a pair of dead batteries and everyone in the world uses Picassa or Flickr for any photo gallery material.

I just don’t get it. Why does Time Warner have to sell to a sub-par company? If things don’t get any better then I guess its off to AT&T. I guess I’m just in that kind of mood ;)
